Golfing and spa days are found in abundance, with several golf courses and excellent spas scattered throughout the city. Water play can be found either at a water park or at the beach. There is snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, kayaking, and jet skiing available. One of the main draws to the area is fishing. Charters, day trips, and overnights can be found through one of the many outfitters, and travelers can find several types of fishing to partake in. The waters are full of a variety of species, and since Destin is the “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”, coming home empty-handed won’t be an issue. If you time your trip right, there are many events and festivals that occur year-round in Destin. From the annual Destin Fishing Rodeo to the many performing arts, beer and wine tastings, and golf tournaments— your event calendar can stay full as well.

Destin offers several choices in dining, and visitors can expect to find delicious foods in a relaxed atmosphere or fine dining. Although seafood is the name of the game, there are other options to tempt every palette. With places like Louisiana Lagniappe, the Marina Café, Dewey Destin’s Seafood and Restaurant, and McGuire’s Irish Pub— your inner foodie will be satisfied.
