Martha’s Vineyard: If you’re still looking for a place to go this summer, what are you waiting for? Many of the quality summer rentals are booked up and finding an airline ticket might be difficult, but there is still plenty of time to enjoy the vacation of your dreams if you’re willing to develop a plan. A plan would include figuring out where you want to go, when you want to go, how much you’re willing to spend, and what kind of activities you might want to engage in.

And it’s surely worth the time; vacation can mean a reduction in stress levels, life-long memories with your family, better performance at work and improved health. In all, if you’re not using your vacation time, you’re only doing yourself and your family a disservice. However, the question then becomes where should you take your vacation? In this blogger’s opinion, you can’t go wrong with Martha’s Vineyard. Here’s why you might want to look into getting a Martha’s Vineyard vacation rental before it’s too late:

Location:

People who come to Martha’s Vineyard do so because they are looking for a place that is quaint, but still offers the sights and sounds of the ocean. Martha’s Vineyard offers the best of both worlds. While you do get the feel of a coastal environment, you don’t get the crowds that many other shore locations experience. This is in part due to the natural boundaries that encourage seclusion. You have to take a ferry from Hyannis, Woods Hole or Falmouth just to reach the island. The island sits seven miles off of Cape Cod.

Climate:

Heat is good, but you don’t want so much heat that you’ll be at the point of heat exhaustion. With the cooling winds from the Atlantic Ocean, Martha’s Vineyard never really gets above 90 degrees, so you’ll be able to enjoy the sun and warm weather without suffering from it. What’s more, if it does get a little warmer, you can always take a dip in the ocean.

Dining:

Although you might expect to only find seafood establishments at Martha’s Vineyard given its location, this isn’t the case at all. Whatever your particular interest in food is, you should find a variety of food establishments that can cater to your needs, from snacks like ice cream to four course steak meals. But yes, the seafood in Martha’s Vineyard is exquisite.

Attractions:

Oak Bluffs Marthas Vineyard

No matter the ages of the members of your family, you should be able to find a variety of things to do in Martha’s Vineyard. For example, if you have young ones, take a trip over to Oak Bluffs, which offers the oldest carousel in the country in the “Flying Horses.” You can also find fun nightlife on this part of the island. If you’re looking for art galleries or antique shops to peruse, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown are must-stops.

Martha’s Vineyard has these amenities and so many more. You owe it to yourself and your family to take a fun and relaxing vacation. If you’re still trying to think of a place, Martha’s Vineyard is certainly a place to consider.
