Teen Murti Bhawan: This was the official residence of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru – first Prime Minister of India – for 16 years. The Teen Murti Bhawan was converted into a museum after his death. Various facets of the life Pandit Nehru can be seen through the pictures and other literature. The ambience is kept the same as during the days of Nehru. Besides, a light-and-sound show known as ‘Tryst with Destiny’ showcases India’s fight for Independence and also facets from the life of Jawaharlal Nehru. There is also a memorial library. The rose garden at the back of the building is worth visiting. It remains open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
