I love traveling and everyone around me knows my passion for traveling. So last year, my friends and I decided to see something extraordinary by visiting a place we all would enjoy. We gave each other a lot of suggestions and ended up deciding to visit Nepal for 3 days. We were not getting enough holidays so we thought why not just make a journey short and sweet? We booked a flight from Delhi to Pokhara International Airport. Since there were no direct flights, we decided to take a layover. Nearly all tourists to Nepal travel to Pokhara. Pokhara has something for everyone, whether it’s to begin a hike in the Annapurna Mountains or simply to unwind in this lake city’s more laid-back atmosphere. But there are several activities that tourists to Pokhara should take part in, and these can be organized into simple day trips. So we thought to make the most of it by first reaching Nepal.

How to reach Pokhara Nepal?
My 1st Day
So we arrived nearly in the afternoon, and because we had our hotel reservation already booked through an OTA platform, it was very simple to check in at the hotel. We had our lunch at this moment when we were discussing which sights to see first. Since it was late afternoon, we decided to visit The White Shanti Stupa, Peace Pagoda. This place towers over the lake and sparkles in the sunlight. At sunset, this location is ideal for viewing the lake and the mountains in the area. Tourists can do so many small activities here but we first thought to take the road to the Stupa and take blessings from the Lord Buddha.
Later on, we took a boat across the lake and hiked up through the forest. It was such a fun activity and we started photo-shooting each other. Next, we also tried paragliding; all of my friends accompanied me except one because he got an urgent call from home. The day went extremely well, and we also tasted multi-cuisine meals, including veg momos and veg noodles, at the neighboring Zen Garden Restaurant. To end the day, we returned to our hotel after dinner and discussed our plans for the next day before falling asleep.
My 2nd Day:
We got up early today and we knew we had to cover so many things so we started our journey right after breakfast at around 5 AM. We decided to visit Sarangkot, which is 45 minutes from Pokhara and situated at 1,600 meters. It is a wonderful location to overlook the Annapurna Range, Pokhara, and Phewa Lake and is known for its sunrise vista. Sarangkot climbs start in the dark so that the summit can be reached in time to see the sunrise over the Himalayas, bathing the snow-covered mountains in a warm orange glow. We covered this place and the neighboring areas as well while on our tour.
Well, in Pokhara, there are also several refugee camps. The one closest to Davis Falls is Tashi Ling, where tourists may shop for handicrafts and see Tibetan carpets being created in the factory and showroom. So we visited Tashi Ling to shop a little and then had our lunch and snacks from a nearby restaurant and cafe. Let me tell you that we were mesmerized by how amazing the food was. Afterward, it was time to come back to our hotel so we signed off from this place. For today’s dinner, we asked our hotel to arrange something from their in-house restaurant. The food was quite okay in terms of quantity but we were so tired that we didn’t pay much attention to it.
My 3rd Day:
Okay, so we were here and still didn’t do any adventure, isn’t that unfair? Today, we were in the mood to try various activities the city has to offer. The thrill to do something worthwhile took us to Nepal’s first and only tower, the HighGround Bungee. The jump location, which is conveniently located 20 minutes from Pokhara Lakeside, provides a breathtaking view of the Himalayas, hills, and rivers. This is a 70M bungee that free falls for 5 sec in a blitz of fear and adrenaline. Well, believe me, an adventure journey goes great when you have the same spirit companions with you. Next, we decided to didn’t stop and try the thrilling zipline. All safety-related aspects of the ride were carefully explained by the staff, and all equipment was thoroughly inspected. Honestly, this location was a terrific place to spend the day. This day became the most memorable one and none of us can ever forget it.
Back to the hotel:
We had our food and started packing everything since we have to get to the airport. Yes, sadly today is our flight and we have no other option than to go back with all the memories we have now. We took our flight and reached Delhi the same day in the late evening.
Bottom Lines:
Pokhara Nepal was such an amazing place that I can never stop thinking about it. If I get another opportunity, I would take my same friends to this wonderful place once again.
