Denver is best known for the annual Rock Springs Camp Meeting religious meeting that has been held in town since 1830. Sherrills Ford offers residents a variety of different industries to work in and attractions for visitors and residents alike to enjoy.

The busiest side of the lake is the eastern shore. This is where the towns of Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius and Huntersville are located. Located less then an hour north of Charlotte, Mooresville is the home base to many of the sports top teams. This gives residents the unique opportunity to work in an ever evolving sport. Some of the teams based out of Mooresville include the original Dale Earnhardt Incorporated which no longer houses a Sprint Cup team, but remains open for fans.
