Warner Bros Studio Tour
“The Making of Harry Potter” is the ultimate experience for any Potter enthusiast! The studios are located 20 miles from central London in Herfordshire and are just 3 miles from the M1 and M25. The attraction has proved to be an enormous hit and so you may need to book some time in advance to secure a place. The tour affords the opportunity to see many of the sets from the films including the Gryffindor common room, the boys’ dormitory, Hagrid’s hut, Diagon Alley and most notably the Great Hall which opens the tour in dramatic style. The hall, complete with props from the films including the paintings and huge oak furniture, is visited with the aid of a guide but once you have passed through the Great Hall you can take the rest of the tour at your own pace and stay as long as you wish. The studios are packed full of props from the movies and demonstrations of filming techniques and you can even stop for some refreshments including trying the legendary butter beer.
